If you hold a valid driving licence from any EU or EEA country, you can drive in Spain without any additional requirements. Your licence is valid throughout Spain for its remaining validity period.

Once your licence expires, you can renew it directly in Spain through the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico). We can help you with the entire renewal process.

Non-EU citizens can drive in Spain with their valid foreign licence for up to 6 months from their date of entry. After that period, you will need to obtain a Spanish driving licence.

Depending on your country of origin, you may be able to exchange your licence directly or you may need to pass the theoretical and/or practical exams. We offer classes in English to help you succeed.

US driving licences are valid in Spain for up to 6 months. After this period, you will need to obtain a Spanish licence.

There is currently no reciprocal agreement between Spain and the United States, so a direct licence exchange is not possible. You will need to pass both the theoretical and practical exams. Our English-speaking instructors are here to guide you through every step.

Canadian driving licences can be used in Spain for up to 6 months from the date of entry.

Similar to US drivers, there is no reciprocal agreement between Spain and Canada. You will need to take the Spanish theoretical and practical driving exams to obtain a Spanish licence. We provide full support in English throughout the process.
